Law Office of Justin Sobodash, P.C. is committed to successful resolution of your legal issues in an efficient manner. We give each matter our full attention and care. We know from experience that the strongest claims and defenses are usually identified by listening carefully to the client and asking tailored follow-up questions.
We understand that litigation is more efficient when it is a team effort between the attorney and client. That is how our mission becomes your success.
The firm gives clients the benefit of big firm experience and small firm attention to client priorities. The firm’s principal Justin Sobodash has obtained favorable trial verdicts, managed multimillion dollar cases, and written an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Reason Foundation. Mr. Sobodash graduated cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Political Science, and received his law degree from UCLA School of Law.
The firm’s practice includes business litigation, intellectual property, and civil rights. Past and present clients include apparel companies and design firms, health maintenance organizations, venture capital funds, production and media companies, restaurants, nightclubs and bars, small businesses, consumer products companies, medical practices, a corporate travel agency, medical marijuana dispensaries, other law firms, musicians, writers, artists, and actors.
The firm is also proud to advocate for a more entrepreneurial and free society. We served as local counsel for the libertarian Institute for Justice in Flynn et al. v. Holder, an as-applied challenge to the National Organ Transplant Act. Due to the Institute for Justice’s work, across the nation, doctors, patients and their supporters are now free to offer compensation to most donors of lifesaving bone marrow without fear of being prosecuted under the National Organ Transplant Act of 1984 (NOTA), which criminalizes organ sales. The firm has advised a coalition of property rights advocates in Ventura, California fighting a web of draconian ordinances and code enforcement.
If you need aggressive representation in a business or intellectual property dispute, need a trademark prosecuted or an intellectual property license drafted, or believe that the government has infringed your rights, we would like to hear from you.
